About RSS

RSS (Rich Site Summary or Really Simple Syndication) is a format for delivering regularly changing web content. Many news-related sites, weblogs and other online publishers syndicate their content as an RSS Feed. RSS allows you to easily stay informed by retrieving the latest content from the sites you are interested in. Plus, it helps you avoid having to sign up for each site's email newsletter.

CraftyDeb.com uses RSS to publish the ten most recent pattern publications and/or updates. It gives you a quick and easy way to keep track of what is new on the site.

In order to use RSS, you need a Feed Reader. The FireFox Web Browser comes with one built in. Other popular choices include FeedReader (Windows), and NewsGator (Windows - integrates with Outlook). Google Reader is a popular web-based feed reader.
